Sarah Palin may be a Senator in a few days

As of right now, Senator Ted Stevens (R-AK) is leading democratic candidate Mark Begich by 3353 votes. She could, technically, appoint herself. She could also run outright for the seat. Either would put her back in the national spotlight.

Her approval rating in Alaska is currently at 68%.
